We have our own presence in multiple data centres belonging to the iomart group with our primary core network in Maidenhead. We have our own waves on iomart’s dark fibre network allowing us to privately and securely connect our racks between sites. Our preferred secondary site is in Nottingham and both Maidenhead and Nottingham have routes back to our own fibre deployment in Saffron Walden, Essex which is utilised by our clients as a low-cost DR site.

We deploy our own 48u Rittal racks at all of our DC sites, each site (excluding Saffron Walden) is N+1 redundant right through to the hardware layer. All switching and routing is dual redundant inclusive of uplinks and all uplinks are 1Gbps line speed.

All computer hardware is as redundant as possible with dual power supplies, cpu’s and ram banks and on top of this runs our Enterprise VMware virtualisation and High Availability stack.

Our storage is deployed on a dedicated 10Gbps network with dual redundant Cisco 4900M network switches and has a mixture of fibre and copper interconnects to ensure flexibility when specifying storage options. Our own Enterprise SANS have dual redundant SAN heads/controllers and SAS/SSD/SATA storage options.

Our customers are using our infrastructure facilities for an array of services from Citrix Vdi, Application Servers, Web Hosting right up to having their own VmWare resource pools for self-management. This means that we take the strain of looking after the infrastructure for your business.
